Writer

In addition to all the exciting Apple announcements a few weeks ago there was good news for iOS users. Day One and IA Writer received updates. Anytime those apps are updated I pay attention. The most significant update in IA Writer is that it is now a Universal app, meaning that it will now run on the iPhone as well as the iPad. At first this seemed a little silly to me. The smaller screen did not seem appropriate for the type of writing I do in Writer. I was wrong. Having a good writing tool is helpful wherever I happen to be. Anything that helps me turn little Twitter checking throughout the day into productive opportunities is great. Writing may not be its most ideal on a small screen but Writer’s handy extended keyboard and iCloud syncing makes it doable. Check it out, it’s worth the investment.
