Greetings from Bainbridge Island!
2025 has been a good year for us. It’s been full of adventure and lots of time together. We hope that your Christmas season is joyful and full of time with the people you love. This was a year of new travel traditions for us. We took family vacations to Moab, Utah and the Oregon Coast. It was wonderful to have so much time together uninterrupted.
Ezra (6) is in first grade and is obsessed with space. He constantly teaches all of us about what he’s learning from the books he’s reading. He started piano lessons this fall and enjoys singing along with the songs he is learning. He expresses his love for family members on a daily basis. If you run into him, ask him about space and he’ll let you know all about it.
Sadie (9) is in third grade and the life of the party. She is enthusiastic about her friends and our dogs Finn and Lily. This fall she discovered Zelda and has recently found the Master Sword! When she’s not playing video games or running around with Ezra you’ll find her reading about adventurous cats or Anne of Green Gables with Noah.
Jonas (14) is in eighth grade and studying at BYU Online High School. He has grown tall and confident, but continues to be observant and considerate of those around him. He has discovered Magic the Gathering and is always looking for partners to play with and he recently discovered his dad’s guitar and has begun to pluck away. His love of crime shows planted the idea of one day entering law enforcement. Jonas enjoys spending time with his family and regularly plays with Sadie and Ezra in ways that only an older brother can.
Norah (16) is a Junior at Bainbridge Island High School. She is starting to plan for college with BYU as her primary goal. She is a talented pianist and always fills our home with beautiful music (her performance at her winter recital is available to play above). She has regular work babysitting for busy parents at church and in the community. She attends early morning seminary before school and is preparing to serve a mission one day soon.
Sierra is always busy with projects around the house. This year she sanded ceiling beams, installed new lighting, and installed new floors in our downstairs hallway. There is surely more to come soon. She is a physician at Kaiser Permanente and even stitched up Noah’s elbow. She was recently called as a Sunday School teacher for a class of teenagers. She frequently falls asleep after her busy days snuggling with Sadie and Ezra.
Noah has been working for a year designing products at Function Health. He loves the work he is doing and the people he does it with. Outside of his day job, he is writing a history book and works on software projects with his dad. Noah is in his fourth year of teaching early morning seminary to the high schoolers of the Bainbridge Island Ward. He loves taking pictures of the family and cooking.
We feel that the Lord has blessed us greatly and hope that this Christmas season is a time for you to recognize your own blessings. We are grateful for all the wonderful people whose love and friendship have warmed our hearts. Thank you for being in our lives.
Love, Sierra, Noah, Norah, Jonas, Sadie, & Ezra
